The iconic Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield is set to transform into a winter wonderland as it kicks off its much-anticipated ‘Naughty or Nice 2023’ Christmas movie marathon.
Throughout the entire month of December, film enthusiasts and holiday lovers alike can immerse themselves in the magic of the season with a carefully curated selection of festive films.

The ‘Naughty or Nice 2023’ event promises a cinematic experience like no other, featuring the most beloved festive films and Christmas classics to the big screen.
From heartwarming tales of love and friendship to the mischievous antics of beloved holiday characters, the Lighthouse Cinema and Palas has prepared a lineup that caters to both the young, and the young at heart.
This year’s nice list will include Frank Capra’s iconic ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ and 20th century anniversary screenings of iconic cult classics such as ‘Elf’. The naughty list includes Stanley Kubrick’s mysterious ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ and a trip to Nakatomi Tower in ‘Die Hard’.
Finally finishing out the year in style with Sofia Coppola’s ‘Marie Antoinette in 35mm.
“The idea behind this programme was to create a space where families, friends, and movie enthusiasts can come together and celebrate the joy of Christmas through the magic of cinema.
‘Naughty or Nice 2023’ is our way of spreading holiday cheer and creating lasting memories for our community,” says Saoirse O’Connor employee at Lighthouse Cinema.
