With the countdown to Christmas well and truly underway, Richmond Barracks in Inchicore is hosting a Christmas fair that will run from Saturday, December 2 until Sunday, December 3 from 11am to 5pm.
The fair, which is free to attend, will encourage visitors to explore their creativity and have fun. While it will feature traditional Christmas market elements, there will also be interactive workshops for people of all ages to get involved with.
There will be interactive felt, card quilling and decoration making workshops taking place across the weekend, all of which are family friendly. Places are limited so be sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Attendees will get the opportunity to buy handmade items and decorations from local businesses and crafts people. Businesses such as D8 Makers , Liberties Papers and Dóchas Designs are all set to have stalls at this year’s market, with the full list of traders available on the Richmond Barracks website.
It wouldn’t be a Christmas without food and drink. Visitors can indulge in delicious treats and warm drinks from the many local food vendors the fair has to offer, such as The Crépe Escape and Happy Out Coffee.
Additionally, there will also be a number of live song and dance performances throughout the weekend which are sure to intensify the festive and fun atmosphere for visitors.
The St James’s Brass & Reed Band, who are considered Ireland’s oldest band, is just one of the many groups who will be performing over the two days. They will be kicking off their show from 3:45pm to 4:45pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Needless to say, the Richmond Barracks Christmas Fair will have something of interest for every kind of visitor this festive season.
