A new music-led bar, Love Tempo, is coming to the Liberties – setting up shop on the site of the former iconic Thomas Street pub, The Clock.
Much to the dismay of many locals, The Clock pub closed its doors in February 2023, leaving behind a legacy spanning generations and also, its unit on Thomas Street for a new venture of opportunity.
The people behind two popular Dublin nightlife venues, The Big Romance and Mother, are making it all happen as they team up together to bring Love Tempo to the Liberties.
In an Instagram post on Love Tempo’s new social media page, they said, “NEW BAR COMING! LOVE TEMPO: A music-led bar from the people behind The Big Romance and Mother will be lighting up Thomas Street very soon.
“We have loads more to share with you but in the meantime, give us a follow, stay tuned & remember, love and time is all we have,” the post continued.
The Big Romance is a vinyl bar on Parnell Street where people can get craft beer and cocktails, while Mother is a queer nightclub currently hosting club nights in Lost Lane on Grafton Street.
Love Tempo is currently hiring for several positions so if you’re seeking employment and have a “passion for hospitality, good service, tasty drinks and great music,” then you can email your CV along with a little bit about yourself to jobs@lovetempo.ie.
The Liberty could not find any confirmed opening date as the club promoters are keeping all details a secret but as Love Tempo is coming soon, you can sign-up for the chance to be invited to their launch night on their website, lovetempo.ie.
