Running until October 20, there are plenty of events for students, staff and the wider community to get involved in. The events for the community begin on October 17.

“The sustainability team has collaborated with faculties and schools, the Green-Campus Committee, local communities, and businesses, to deliver an engaging week of climate action activity designed to engage and educate our people in climate science, climate anxiety, and climate resiliency,” TU Dublin spokesperson Rebecca Flanagan said.

“There are almost 20 activities for students, staff and the community to get involved in – through participation and engagement, together we can create a culture of climate awareness among our people and establish a resilient campus environment at TU Dublin,” she added.

TU Dublin intends to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 51% by 2030 and to increase the improvement in energy efficiency from the 33% target in 2020 to 50% by 2030. During Climate Action Week, people will be invited to learn about the pathway in which the university hopes to achieve this.
