The Libertine Market’s monthly market-pub crawl is back on Sunday, October 1, with its Halloween themed ‘Samhain Party’ – spread across several iconic pubs in Dublin 8.
Dubbed as a ‘flea market pub crawl’, the Libertine Market holds its event on the first Sunday of every month from 12 noon to 5pm.
As the October theme for the flea market pub crawl is ‘Samhain Party’ or ‘Halloween’, the Libertine Market welcomes guests to “dress up in their best spooky/Celtic/magical outfits”.
The event’s flea market element features over 50 stalls including live music, tattoos, face-painting and food services.
Four pubs in The Liberties are participating in this month’s pub crawl event – Thomas Street’s Dudley’s and Arthur’s Jazz and Blues Pub, and Meath Street’s Lucky’s and All My Friends (The Liberties’ very own LGBTQ+ venue).
There is no set order in how you should attend each pub as it’s a “self-directed pub crawl”, the Libertine Market said.
The event’s organisers also said that you should “take the route that suits best” and to “stay as long as you like” in each pub.
‘Samhain Party’ is a free non-ticketed event that also boasts itself as “family/pet friendly”.
For anyone with accessibility issues, each pub has toilet facilities on the ground floor.
Market stalls in All My Friends and Lucky’s are on the ground floor and Dudley’s market stalls require going up and down eight steps. Arthur’s Jazz and Blues Pub has stalls on the ground floor and on the upper level but requires going up a long flight of stairs.
