Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and whether you hate it or love it, here are some ideas for activities around Dublin.
Regarding the recent lifting of the Covid restrictions in Dublin, there are now opportunities for dining out and celebrating the 14th.
French Erasmus student, Muad Sibaud, said, “Last year on Valentine’s Day we just had a cozy evening at home and watched a movie. This year we will go to a restaurant – Wagamama in South King Street offer a special Valentine’s Day menu. I’m very excited about that.”
Places to Go
On February 13th, there will be a Valentines Day Brunch for Women‘s Aid at 10.30 am at the Skinny Batch Bakery in Lusk, County Dublin. At this event, all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Women’s Aid.
While Anti Social Bar and Lucky’s in the Liberties are always great spots for a nice evening in a bar, you may also want to try out 777 on South Great Georges Street, where Margaritas will be two for €16 on the night of the 14th.
If you would like to spend your day laughing, former TU Dublin student Rob Stitt highly recommends Craic Den Comedy Club at Mulligan & Haines in Dame Street.
Many theatres will be streaming romantic films this weekend. Valentine’s and Galentine’s will be celebrated at the Light House cinema in Smithfield where films like Crimson Peak and Richard Linklater’s Before trilogy will be screening.
