An Garda Síochána have asked the children of Ireland to help track down a mischievous Elf, known as Dazzler.
Dazzler was last seen at Kilmainham Garda Station in Dublin 8 on the morning of December 1st.
He is reported to have caused mischief around the station, before disappearing without a trace.
Elf’s are well-known to be a great help to Santa Claus on the run up to Christmas, taking on such important duties as toy building, sleigh repairs and compiling the naughty/nice list.
A source close to Santa Claus has said that “Dazzler is a good elf, when he wants to be. Sometimes he does push the big man’s (already stretched) buttons though. He needs to have some elf-respect and come back to work. This is our busy season!”
It is believed that reindeers Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and team leader, Rudolph, have joined the elfless work of the Garda Air Support Unit in the search for their trouble-making colleague.
They will continue the search from the sky, while Gardaí and children around Ireland are urged to keep an eye out on the ground.
“We have other things to be doing this time of year, like training and getting our nutrition right. Flying around the world dragging you-know-who in a big sleigh is hard work, you know? We need Dazzler to help get things ready for Christmas eve!” said Prancer.
If anyone has information, please use the hashtag #FindDazzler on social media to keep everyone updated.
Dazzler is 4” tall with brown hair, pointy ears and rosy red cheeks. When last seen he was wearing a black top and pointy hat, with black and white striped bottoms.
Children are urged to check www.facebook.com/AnGardaSiochana at 7.30am every morning for daily updates.
