On Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of November, a free online family event to boost eco-awareness will take place from 10.30am each day.
Dublin City Council says that the Sustainable Days event aims to “inspire, inform and educate” those who attend about sustainability and the environment through “play, talks and activities”.
The organiser, Kathryn Byrne said that “we are delighted the event can go ahead, after being postponed from earlier in the year. Now that Sustainable Days is virtual, we hope so many more people can participate”.
For the online DCC has teamed up with the Rediscovery Centre, a movement that supports low-carbon living.
Lord Mayor of Dublin, Hazel Chu said that the event “is a fantastic opportunity to spread awareness of environmental issues and educate the wider public,” adding that “it is so important for future generations in Dublin City to educate children on how to live a more eco-conscious life”.
In a press release, DCC says that the idea of sustainability has gained traction, and many of us aim to be more environmentally friendly in our daily lives.
