The perfect white dress, perfectly placed in a gown cover, is what every bride expects to see in the changing room hours before she walks down the aisle.
But, that was not the case for brides at the Bridal Corner shop.
The bridal shop located at Hart’s Corner in Glasnevin announced its closure due to accumulating debt.
Several brides had been left with no news on their dresses just weeks from their weddings.
The shop made a promise to refund every customer. “We will be making contact with all brides that are affected that have weddings before Christmas over the next few days.”
Following the closure of the Bridal Corner, one shop in Meath, Timeless Bridalwear, has offered to help any affected bride.
“Up to 70% discounted from what the brides would have paid in the Bridal Corner. We were offering and still are a further 10% off to any of the affected brides,” a spokesperson from Timeless Bridalwear said.
“The brides that have contacted us have since told us that they don’t require a new dress as the designers are going to dispatch the dresses to boutiques that specifically stock the designer,” a spokesperson added.
“We aren’t stockists of any designer in particular – we stock dresses from all over the world.
We have offered to receive dresses for brides and the dresses can be collected from us. If they need us, we are here.”
