Blue is back

If you didn’t rock that blue mascara so well at 16, here’s your second chance. Blue is making a comeback. Well, if the MAC winter collection is anything to go by.

I caught a sneak preview of the collection and a chance to find out the inspiration behind it. The most important advice was to stock up on those gold and blue colours that pulls its look from a Seventies bluesy evening with a pinch of golden sparkle from the city that never sleeps!

However, it wasn’t all New York chic as I spoke to an independent make-up artist who seemed a little disappointed with the lack of exclusives. Gemma Leigh had waited a whopping 10 months for their highlighter, but noted the “limited edition lipsticks are from the permanent range. Normally they bring out a shade you can’t get normally. I didn’t get as much as I did last year.”

Hopefully, the blue mascara will be a little less cringe this time around.
