On Wednesday 17 March, the premiere of Remember Me starring Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin and Pierce Brosnan took place at the Odeon in Leicester Square, London.
Here in Dublin, Kate Bowe PR organised a preview screening at Movies at Dundrum for a select few with something different added to it. Not only did we get to see Remember Me before anyone else in Ireland, but there was a live webcam link to the red carpet at the London premiere, presented by Alex Zane.
Zane talked us through everything that was happening before the film began, including which stars were arriving such as Holly Valance and Tom Felton, and of course the stars of the film themselves.
Zane talked to many people on the red carpet including screaming “Robsessed” fans. When it came to his chance to talk to Robert himself he was surprised to hear that he was on a live webcam directly to Dublin and said hello to all those who were watching, wishing us a ‘Happy Saint Patricks Day!’
The film itself took me by surprise, particularly the ending. It has been a while since a film really blew me away, and that is exactly what this did. I hadn’t heard anything about what happens in the film beforehand so I think that made it somewhat better, giving the story more of an impact.
Tyler, a rebellious young man from New York, has been trying to deal with a family tragedy when he meets Ally through a twist of fate during the summer of 2001. She helps him to heal with her lively spirit, but the circumstances that brought them together soon threaten to tear them apart. Remember Me is an unforgettable story about love, family and the importance of living life to the fullest, treasuring each day that you have.
