Lady Gaga stunned again at the recent Brit Awards with a shock headpiece designed by Irish hat guru Philip Treacy.
The astonishing headpiece was Marie Antoinette inspired and is one of Treacy’s couture pieces. It is estimated to have cost £5,000. Treacy allegedly spent several days making this one of a kind piece.
Gaga was initially introduced to the world renowned hat designer by the late Alexander McQueen and has since been spotted wearing many of Treacy’s creations. The two have developed a strong rapport and Treacy collaborated with her for her concert tour in London.
Treacy claims that “Hats are a personal choice and really give a person the chance to assert their sense of independence.” Gaga personally chose this couture piece herself from Treacy’s collection.
Lady Gaga was the first to arrive on the red carpet at the Brit Awards, on the 16th of February, where she won the three awards that she was nominated for (Best International Album, Best International Breakthrough Act and Best International Female Solo Artist).
She also put on an emotional performance on the night which she dedicated to fashion designer and friend Alexander McQueen, who was found dead in his flat just one week before the awards.
