The Liberties – Now & Then

and Victoria Tiernan

It has been 30 odd years since Eamonn Mac Thomais presented a series of television programmes about Dublin on RTE. One of the episodes, shot between 1979 and 1983, focused on the Liberties. Equipped with a camera and Mac Thomais’ route map from three decades ago, Aida Skrimantaite and Victoria Tiernan set out to capture the changing face of the Liberties.
